Grounded Roots Counseling provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health and specialized sex offense treatment services. We offer individual therapy, group therapy, and comprehensive evaluations, including psychosexual assessments and court-mandated treatment. Our licensed clinicians are trained in trauma-informed, CBT, and DBT approaches to support accountability, healing, and long-term change. Services are available both virtually and in person, ensuring accessible care for individuals, families, and professionals navigating complex mental health and legal challenges.

Ideal Clients and Their Needs

At Grounded Roots Counseling, our clients are individuals who are ready to take accountability and create lasting change in their lives. Many are referred through the legal system for sex offense treatment or evaluations, while others seek support voluntarily to address concerns about their behavior or relationships.

Our ideal client is someone who:

  • Recognizes the importance of addressing harmful behaviors and is open to change
  • Is seeking comprehensive, trauma-informed treatment or evaluation services
  • Values a safe, nonjudgmental environment where they can work toward accountability and healing
  • Wants structured, evidence-based guidance to support long-term success and reintegration

Whether mandated by the court or pursuing services voluntarily, we work with adults who are motivated—or willing to become motivated—to take steps toward responsibility, healthier choices, and building a more positive future.

Our Trauma-Informed Approach

At Grounded Roots Counseling, our treatment model is designed to promote accountability, healing, and long-term change. We specialize in sex offense-specific treatment and evaluations, integrating over 20 years of experience in the domestic and sexual violence field and five years providing treatment and clinical supervision with the Department of Corrections.

Our program is small and intensive, allowing us to provide personalized care and close support. Treatment is trauma-informed and evidence-based, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and best practices in forensic treatment.

Length of Treatment:

Treatment typically lasts 18 months to 2 years, depending on individual progress, behavior, and level of accountability. Each client’s journey is unique, and treatment length may vary based on their willingness to engage, demonstrate responsibility, and practice new skills.

"Grounded Roots Counseling provided me with the tools and support I needed to take responsibility for my actions and build a healthier future."
